Trip Id - (MCT20250506674)
Overview

Rajasthan, the Land of Kings, is a mesmerizing blend of vast deserts, sand dunes, and vibrant culture. Known for its arid climate, Rajasthan is also home to rich traditions, colorful houses painted in hues of blue, pink, and gold, as well as stunning tribal attire and lively folk music and dance that infuse the air with the essence of an eternal spring. This majestic land, though vast and steeped in history, is impossible to fully explore in one lifetime. However, we’ve crafted the ultimate backpacking experience to help you immerse yourself in the grandeur of this remarkable state. This specially curated Rajasthan tour, brought to you by Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd., takes you through three of the most iconic destinations—Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer. These former princely states of Rajputana, which laid the foundation of Rajasthan’s royal history, are now among the top places to visit in the state. Our trip is perfectly timed to let you celebrate Christmas and welcome the New Year in the heart of Rajasthan’s cultural vibrancy. We start our adventure in Udaipur, known as the 'City of Lakes,' or the ‘White City,’ famous for its royal palaces and forts built from white marble. Explore the grandeur of the City Palace, sail across the serene Lake Pichola, and enjoy panoramic views from Sajjangarh Fort. As you wander through the bustling local markets, you’ll discover traditional bandhani sarees, ethnic silver jewelry, and handmade juttis. Don't miss out on sampling authentic Rajasthani dishes and soaking in the festive atmosphere with some local delicacies and festive cheer. After experiencing Udaipur’s royal charm, we continue to Kumbhalgarh Fort and visit the Haldighati Museum before making our way to Jodhpur. The 'Blue City' of Jodhpur awaits with its signature blue-painted homes and historic sites. Visit the grand Umaid Bhawan Palace and the awe-inspiring Mehrangarh Fort, which stands tall above the city. Marvel at the intricately carved marble architecture of Jaswant Thada, illuminated by the glow of the sun. Here, we’ll also gather for a New Year celebration, reflecting on the year past and sharing hopes for the year ahead. Our final stop is Jaisalmer, the 'Golden City,' where you’ll experience the magic of the Thar Desert. Enjoy an exhilarating desert safari, take a camel ride, and witness cultural performances by Rajasthani folk artists under a blanket of stars. After a day of adventure, we'll set up camp in the desert, where you can share stories around a warm bonfire while enjoying festive snacks, music, and cake, all while celebrating Christmas and the arrival of the New Year in the desert. Rajasthan's cultural diversity, from its colorful palaces and forts to its vibrant traditions, offers something for everyone—whether you're an art lover captivated by intricate designs or a history enthusiast drawn to the ancient legacies of the land. The festive season adds a special touch, making this an unforgettable journey through a land filled with captivating tales, festive spirit, and cultural richness. Exploring Rajasthan during Christmas and New Year will give you even more reasons to fall in love with this land of royalty. Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. is proud to offer this unforgettable journey through Rajasthan, ensuring that your adventure is filled with magic, memories, and a celebration of culture that will stay with you forever.
