Visit the historic Tabo Monastery, renowned for its stunning murals and frescoes. Stay overnight in Tabo to experience its serene spiritual atmosphere.
Today, enjoy a 4x4 drive to Kaza, covering 90–100 km in 5–6 hours. After breakfast at Tabo, stop en route at Pin Valley to explore its unique ecosystem and stunning scenery. Continue to Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff, offering spectacular views. Have lunch at a local eatery along the way, and arrive in Kaza for dinner. Stay overnight in Kaza to experience the hub of Spiti Valley.
Today, explore Kaza’s surrounding villages and monasteries (50–60 km, 4–5 hours). Visit Key Monastery, Kibber Village, Chicham Bridge, Langza, and the highest post office in Hikkim. Enjoy lunch at a local eatery and return to Kaza for dinner. Overnight stay in Kaza.

The nearest airport is Jubbarhatti Airport (Shimla), about 23 km from Shimla city. Alternatively, travelers can fly into Chandigarh Airport, which has better connectivity and is around 120 km from Shimla. From either airport, private cabs or buses can be hired to reach Shimla, the starting point of the circuit.
By Train :
The nearest major railway station is Kalka Railway Station, about 90 km from Shimla. From Kalka, the scenic Kalka–Shimla toy train is a popular and memorable ride. Taxis and buses are also available from Kalka to Shimla.
By Road :
Shimla is well connected by road to major North Indian cities like Delhi (approx. 350 km) and Chandigarh (approx. 120 km). Regular Himachal Road Transport buses, private Volvo services, and taxis operate on these routes. From Shimla, the journey continues through the circuit covering Sarahan, Sangla, Nako, Tabo, Kaza, and Kalpa before looping back.
