The Land of Kings, with its vast deserts and sweeping sand dunes, is often imagined as dry and arid — but Rajasthan’s true soul lies in its rich culture, vibrant architecture, and timeless traditions. The colorful houses painted in hues of blue, pink, and gold, the intricate tribal attire adorned with mirrored ghagra-cholis, and the rhythms of folk dance and music breathe an everlasting spring into the very air of this majestic land. Though it is nearly impossible to explore every street echoing with tales of brave kings and fearless queens — Rajasthan being the largest state in India — we have curated the perfect backpacking journey to let you experience the most captivating flavors of this royal state. On this trip, we take you through three of Rajasthan’s most iconic princely states — the foundations of medieval Rajputana and today’s top three must-visit destinations. Our carefully crafted Rajasthan tour package covers Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer — all in one seamless journey. We begin with Udaipur, the City of Lakes, often referred to as the White City for its abundance of ivory marble in palaces, forts, and temples. Here, you will visit architectural marvels such as The City Palace, Lake Pichola, and Sajjangarh Fort, and stroll through bustling local markets teeming with treasures — from traditional bandhani print sarees and ethnic silver jewelry to handmade juttis. To round off the experience, you’ll feast on authentic Rajasthani cuisine, rich with flavor and heritage. From Udaipur, we journey towards Kumbhalgarh Fort — famed for its massive walls second only to the Great Wall of China — and visit the Haldighati Museum before arriving at our next destination: Jodhpur. Known as the Blue City for the indigo-tinted houses that line its historic lanes, Jodhpur dates back to 1459 AD. It is also home to the rare Marwari horses, a breed unique to this region. Our itinerary here includes unmissable sights: the majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace, the formidable Mehrangarh Fort built by Rao Jodha, and the ethereal Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph that glows under the sunlight. Our final stop is Jaisalmer, the Golden City, where you’ll immerse yourself in the magic of the Thar Desert. Spend your day riding camels, enjoying a thrilling desert safari, and in the evening, sit under a starlit sky at our desert camp as Rajasthani folk artists mesmerize you with cultural performances. Rajasthan is a kaleidoscope of experiences — from intricate jharokhas and vivid frescoes for art enthusiasts, to grand forts and palaces that fascinate history lovers. The historical depth, timeless traditions, and cultural richness are just a few reasons why Rajasthan calls travelers back, time and again. Let Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. be your companion as you uncover the essence of this enchanting land.
