Overview

Join Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. for an unforgettable 7-day expedition showcasing Ladakh’s most breathtaking landscapes and cultural treasures. Your adventure begins in Leh, where two days are dedicated to exploring the town and the enchanting Sham region of the western Indus Valley. Highlights include the gravity-defying Magnetic Hill, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers at Sangam, Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, and visits to the architecturally rich monasteries of Basgo, Alchi, Likir, and Spituk. The journey then ventures off the beaten path with a four-day scenic road trip deep into Ladakh’s remote frontiers. Cross the legendary Khardung La, one of the world’s highest motorable passes, to enter the picturesque Nubra Valley. Here, marvel at Diskit Monastery, stroll among the sweeping Hunder sand dunes, and soak in the tranquility of Sumur village. Your route continues alongside the shimmering Shayok River toward the turquoise expanse of Pangong Lake, an otherworldly landscape framed by rugged mountain peaks. From Pangong, traverse the wild and untamed Changthang plateau, crossing the remote Tsaga La pass to reach the serene Tso Moriri Lake (4,530 m). Here, encounters with Changpa nomadic herders offer rare insight into a timeless way of life. Nearby, the saltwater Tso Kar Lake beckons with its abundant birdlife, including sightings of the graceful black-necked crane. The expedition concludes with a return drive to Leh via the lofty Taglang La pass (5,328 m), crowned by visits to two of Ladakh’s most revered monasteries — the majestic Hemis and the striking Thiksey. Let Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. guide you through Ladakh’s high-altitude wonders, where dramatic Himalayan landscapes meet ancient cultural heritage.
