Arrive at Guwahati and drive to Manas National Park and Tiger Reserve (180 km / 5 hrs). Nestled at the foothills of Bhutan, Manas is one of Asia’s most scenic parks, featuring a rich blend of grasslands and woodlands. It is home to Indian Gaurs, elephants, and the rare Golden Langur. Overnight stay at a jungle lodge.
After breakfast, visit nearby tea gardens and explore local ethnic villages. Post lunch, embark on a 4-hour wildlife safari deep into the core area of Manas National Park. As dusk falls, continue with a night safari using floodlights to spot nocturnal wildlife. Return to the lodge late evening.
Start the day with an early morning 3-hour jeep safari. After breakfast, drive to Nameri National Park (6 hrs). Overnight stay in a jungle cottage.
Enjoy an early morning guided nature walk into the reserve. Spot diverse bird species and, with luck, larger mammals like elephants, leopards, and deer. Spend the rest of the day birdwatching around the lodge. Evening bonfire at the campsite.
After breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park (120 km / 3 hrs), home to the world’s largest population of Asiatic one-horned rhinoceroses. Check into a jungle lodge and enjoy a short afternoon elephant safari in the central range. Evening at leisure.
Begin with an early morning jeep safari in the central range. Encounter rhinos, deer, wild buffalo, and possibly tigers and elephants. After lunch, take an afternoon jeep safari in the western range. Evening at leisure.
Drive to Dibrugarh (250 km). Visit Saikhowa National Park, known for its semi-wild horses and rich biodiversity, including the white-winged wood duck and over 250 bird species. Explore the park and check into a hotel for an overnight stay in Dibrugarh.
After breakfast, drive to Miao (250 km), the gateway to Namdapha National Park. This vast park ranges from 200 m to 4,500 m in altitude and hosts diverse wildlife including tigers, clouded leopards, snow leopards, red pandas, and hoolock gibbons. Check into tented accommodation inside the park.
Morning birding tour in Namdapha, where over 500 bird species can be spotted — including hornbills, ibis, kingfishers, and many more.
