The Shrikhand Mahadev Trek, curated by Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. The trek leads to the revered Shrikhand Mahadev Shivling, a 72-foot naturally formed rock symbolizing Lord Shiva, situated at a breathtaking altitude of 5,227 meters (17,150 feet). Starting from Jaon village (170 km from Shimla), the 7-day journey unfolds through dense forests, alpine meadows, glacial fields, and rocky terrain. It traverses key points such as Barathi Nalah, Kali Ghati, Parvati Bagh, and Bhim Dwar, offering awe-inspiring views of the Himalayas and deep spiritual significance. Legend holds that Lord Shiva meditated at this site, making it a sacred destination for devotees.     Your spiritual journey begins with a drive from Shimla to Jaon Village approx 170 km. From Jaon start a short and easy 3 km trek through dense vegetation to reach Singarh the base camp Dinner and overnight stay at Singarh

    Begin your uphill trek through lush deodar forests and water streams. Your first checkpoint is Barathi Nalah at 7200 feet followed by a steep 6 km ascent to Thachru at 11300 feet Dinner and overnight stay at Thachru

    Trek onwards through scenic ridges first reaching Kali Top then the stunning alpine meadow of Parvati Bagh. The trail is steep but the blooming Himalayan flowers and views make it unforgettable Dinner and overnight stay at Bhim Dwar

    Start early for the summit. This challenging stretch involves glaciers moraines boulders small tunnels and seven small peaks.     3. Please provide your pick-up and drop-off times.
    4. For those booking only the cab service, please book or look for hotels within a 9 to 10 km radius of the main city to avoid extra travel charges. Cab operator service hours for local sightseeing are from 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM. For safety reasons, please avoid late-night walks. If the vehicle is used late at night, additional compensation for the driver will be required. Please consider all sightseeing activities as per the time and travel schedule. There are no timing restrictions on arrival and departure days.
    5. Please respond by return mail so we can proceed with the advance booking formalities. Upon reflecting the amount in our account, we will send you a reservation voucher.
    6. Help us keep our surroundings clean by avoiding littering, spitting, drinking, and smoking in public places and in all aspects (advisory only).
    7. AC is complimentary in flat areas, but in hill stations, AC will not be used (mostly for North India and North East regions). All vehicles hired are on a point-to-point basis and not on disposal. If AC services are required in hill areas, it will be on a direct payment basis.
    8. Sightseeing days may need to be rescheduled due to the closing of any monument on a particular day to ensure the smooth execution of tours.
    9. Check-in and check-out times are as per hotel policies.
    10. Meal timings must be followed as instructed by the hotels. We shall not be responsible for any un-availed meals.
    11. In case of non-payment, either advance or remaining, the company has the right to stop services.
    12. We shall not be responsible for any cancellation of cabs or buses due to bad weather and are not liable for it.

In regions like Himachal, Leh Ladakh, Kashmir, Uttarakhand, North East, Andaman & Nicobar, Kerala, Goa, and Rajasthan, hotels are typically categorized based on location, services, and the type of experience they offer, rather than traditional star ratings. These areas often have unique accommodations, ranging from basic guesthouses to luxury resorts, shaped by their geographical and cultural characteristics. In places like Andaman & Nicobar, Rajasthan, and Kerala, the focus is on proximity to natural attractions, heritage experiences, and local amenities, with star classification being less common in remote or heritage properties.

  2. Alternatively, you can fly into Chandigarh International Airport, around 120 km from Shimla, which offers better connectivity and more flight options.
  3. From either airport, you can take a taxi or bus to Shimla.

By Train:

  1. Shimla Railway Station is the nearest railway station, well-connected by the narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway line.
  2. You can take a train from Kalka Railway Station (which is about 35 km from Chandigarh) and enjoy a scenic ride up to Shimla.
  3. From Shimla, take a taxi or bus to Jaon Village to begin the trek.

By Road:

  1. Shimla is well-connected by road to major cities in North India.
  2. From Delhi, it is approximately 350 km (around 7-8 hours) via NH5.
  3. From Chandigarh, it is about 120 km (around 4-5 hours) via NH5.
  4. Once in Shimla, take a taxi or private vehicle to Jaon Village (approximately 170 km) to begin the trek.
