  • Itinerary

    Day 0: Delhi to Shimla – Overnight Journey

    Assemble at the designated boarding point in Delhi and meet your Trip Captain. Begin your overnight journey towards Tapri/Yulla Khas Village, nestled in the heart of Himachal Pradesh. Settle in for the scenic ride and get to know your fellow travelers along the way.

    Day 1: Arrival at Tapri/Yulla Khas Village – Leisure Day

    Enjoy the stunning drive through the Himalayan landscape as you arrive in Tapri or Yulla Khas Village by late morning or early afternoon. Check in to your hotel or homestay, freshen up, and relax. In the afternoon, explore the charming village surroundings, soak in Kinnauri culture, walk through apple orchards, and admire the panoramic views of snow-capped mountains. In the evening, attend a briefing session about the upcoming trek with your guide. Enjoy a delicious home-style dinner and spend the night at the property.

    Day 2: Trek to Yulla Base Camp – Overnight Camping

    Wake up early and enjoy a wholesome breakfast. After checking out, begin your trek to Yulla Base Camp, covering approximately 10 km over 4–6 hours. The trail passes through dense pine, oak, and deodar forests, scenic meadows, and offers spectacular views of the Kinnaur mountain ranges. Enjoy a packed lunch en route or upon arrival at the campsite. After reaching Yulla Base Camp, settle into your tents, unwind, and take in the beauty of the surrounding landscapes. Dinner will be served at the campsite, followed by an overnight stay under the stars.

    Day 3: Trek to Krishna Temple – Return to Delhi

    Rise early and start the trek to Yulla Kanda Lake, home to the world’s highest Krishna Temple (approx. 3,900 m). Marvel at the spiritual aura and the scenic alpine lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas during their exile. After spending time at the lake, trek back to Yulla Base Camp for a hearty breakfast. Later, descend to Tapri or Yulla Khas Village and freshen up briefly at the homestay/hotel. In the evening, start your overnight journey back to Delhi.

    2. The company reserves the right to reschedule sightseeing days to ensure the smooth execution of tours. All guests must carry a valid Indian government-issued photo address proof, including for children.
    3. Please provide your pick-up and drop-off times.
    4. For those booking only the cab service, please book or look for hotels within a 9 to 10 km radius of the main city to avoid extra travel charges. Cab operator service hours for local sightseeing are from 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM. For safety reasons, please avoid late-night walks. If the vehicle is used late at night, additional compensation for the driver will be required. Please consider all sightseeing activities as per the time and travel schedule. There are no timing restrictions on arrival and departure days.
    5. Please respond by return mail so we can proceed with the advance booking formalities. Upon reflecting the amount in our account, we will send you a reservation voucher.
    6. Help us keep our surroundings clean by avoiding littering, spitting, drinking, and smoking in public places and in all aspects (advisory only).
    7. AC is complimentary in flat areas, but in hill stations, AC will not be used (mostly for North India and North East regions). All vehicles hired are on a point-to-point basis and not on disposal. If AC services are required in hill areas, it will be on a direct payment basis.
    8. Sightseeing days may need to be rescheduled due to the closing of any monument on a particular day to ensure the smooth execution of tours.
    9. Check-in and check-out times are as per hotel policies.
    10. Meal timings must be followed as instructed by the hotels. We shall not be responsible for any un-availed meals.
    11. In case of non-payment, either advance or remaining, the company has the right to stop services.
    12. We shall not be responsible for any cancellation of cabs or buses due to bad weather and are not liable for it.

In regions like Himachal, Leh Ladakh, Kashmir, Uttarakhand, North East, Andaman & Nicobar, Kerala, Goa, and Rajasthan, hotels are typically categorized based on location, services, and the type of experience they offer, rather than traditional star ratings. These areas often have unique accommodations, ranging from basic guesthouses to luxury resorts, shaped by their geographical and cultural characteristics. In places like Andaman & Nicobar, Rajasthan, and Kerala, the focus is on proximity to natural attractions, heritage experiences, and local amenities, with star classification being less common in remote or heritage properties.

    6. To secure your package booking, an initial payment of 50% is required at the time of reservation.
    7. The remaining 50% of the package cost will be collected either upon arrival on the first day of the tour or 1-7 days prior to the trip.

    3. -If cancelled between 15-29 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour cost will be deducted.

How To Reach

By Road (Recommended):

The journey begins from Delhi, which is well-connected by road to Shimla. Participants can reach Delhi via their preferred mode and board the pre-arranged overnight Volvo or private vehicle provided by Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. for a comfortable journey to Shimla.


By Air:

The nearest airport is Chandigarh Airport (IXC), located about 120 km from Shimla. From Chandigarh, private/shared cabs can be arranged by Mountains Chain Travel Pvt. Ltd. upon request. Alternatively, limited flights operate to Shimla Airport (Jubbarhatti), located around 22 km from the city center, subject to availability and weather.


By Train:

The nearest major railway station is Kalka Railway Station, approximately 90 km from Shimla. From Kalka, you can either take the scenic toy train ride to Shimla or a private cab arranged on request. Kalka is well-connected to Delhi and Chandigarh by frequent trains.
