The trek takes you through dense forests, vibrant meadows, roaring waterfalls, and snow-covered mountain passes. Starting from Shimla, you’ll journey across picturesque villages and pristine landscapes, culminating at the challenging Buran Ghati pass at 15,000 feet. Along the way, experience breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar and Himalayan ranges, serene glacial lakes, and the rich culture of the Kinnaur region. This trek offers a perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty, and local heritage, making it ideal for moderately experienced trekkers seeking an unforgettable Himalayan experience.  

  • Itinerary

    Day 1: Shimla to Janglik – 150 km Drive – 8 to 9 Hours

    Your journey begins in Shimla where the group will assemble at the Old Bus Stand by 6.30 AM tentative. From here you will embark on a scenic drive to Janglik through the serene landscapes of Khadapathar or via the delightful routes of Narkanda and Rohru. The drive unveils picturesque valleys lush greenery and quaint Himalayan villages. Upon arrival in Janglik a trek briefing sets the tone for the adventure ahead. As the day winds down enjoy a cozy bonfire a delicious dinner and a night under the stars.

    Day 2: Janglik to Dayara Thach – 8 km Trek – 4 to 5 Hours

    Wake up to the tranquility of Janglik and explore its traditional architecture and rich heritage. After breakfast begin your trek through dense pine forests and open meadows. The moderate trail to Dayara Thach offers stunning views and an immersive nature experience. On reaching the vast meadow take in the breathtaking surroundings.

    Day 3: Dayara Thach to Litham Thach – 6 km Trek – Around 3 Hours

    After a refreshing morning at Dayara continue the trek toward Litham Thach. The trail takes you through enchanting forests stream crossings and lush meadows. As you ascend through Gunas Pass enjoy panoramic views of the Dhauladhar range and Silver Birch forests. Cross the Chandranahan stream to reach the peaceful Litham campsite.

    Day 4: Excursion to Chandranahan Lake – 8 km Trek Round Trip

    Today’s highlight is a visit to the mystical Chandranahan Lake a glacial lake tucked amidst snow-covered peaks. Follow the shepherds’ trail past cascading waterfalls and rugged terrain to reach the lake. After soaking in the pristine beauty retrace your steps back to Litham.

    Day 5: Litham to Nalabansh – 5 km Trek – Around 4 Hours

    Begin your ascent toward Nalabansh situated at an altitude of 13000 feet. The trail offers dramatic views of the Rupin Valley cliffs and the first sightings of Buran Ghati and Gunas Waterfall. After a steady climb reach the high-altitude Nalabansh campsite a tranquil setting under a starry sky.

    Day 6: Nalabansh to Munirang via Buran Ghati – 7 km Trek

    Gear up for the most exhilarating part of the trek – crossing Buran Ghati at 15000 feet. The ascent through snow-covered paths is both challenging and incredibly rewarding. After crossing the pass begin your descent towards Munirang a stunning campsite nestled near a flowing stream.

    Day 7: Munirang to Barua Village – 6 km Trek – Drive to Shimla – 200 km

    Your final trek leg takes you downhill to the charming Barua Village in Kinnaur. This gentle 2 to 3 hour descent offers time to reflect on the incredible journey. Upon reaching Barua experience the warm hospitality of the locals before starting your drive back to Shimla.

    2. The company reserves the right to reschedule sightseeing days to ensure the smooth execution of tours. All guests must carry a valid Indian government-issued photo address proof, including for children.

    4. For those booking only the cab service, please book or look for hotels within a 9 to 10 km radius of the main city to avoid extra travel charges. Cab operator service hours for local sightseeing are from 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM. For safety reasons, please avoid late-night walks. If the vehicle is used late at night, additional compensation for the driver will be required. Please consider all sightseeing activities as per the time and travel schedule. There are no timing restrictions on arrival and departure days.
    5. Please respond by return mail so we can proceed with the advance booking formalities. Upon reflecting the amount in our account, we will send you a reservation voucher.
    6. Help us keep our surroundings clean by avoiding littering, spitting, drinking, and smoking in public places and in all aspects (advisory only).
    7. AC is complimentary in flat areas, but in hill stations, AC will not be used (mostly for North India and North East regions). All vehicles hired are on a point-to-point basis and not on disposal. If AC services are required in hill areas, it will be on a direct payment basis.
    8. Sightseeing days may need to be rescheduled due to the closing of any monument on a particular day to ensure the smooth execution of tours.
    9. Check-in and check-out times are as per hotel policies.
    10. Meal timings must be followed as instructed by the hotels. We shall not be responsible for any un-availed meals.
    11. In case of non-payment, either advance or remaining, the company has the right to stop services.
    12. We shall not be responsible for any cancellation of cabs or buses due to bad weather and are not liable for it.

In regions like Himachal, Leh Ladakh, Kashmir, Uttarakhand, North East, Andaman & Nicobar, Kerala, Goa, and Rajasthan, hotels are typically categorized based on location, services, and the type of experience they offer, rather than traditional star ratings. These areas often have unique accommodations, ranging from basic guesthouses to luxury resorts, shaped by their geographical and cultural characteristics. In places like Andaman & Nicobar, Rajasthan, and Kerala, the focus is on proximity to natural attractions, heritage experiences, and local amenities, with star classification being less common in remote or heritage properties.

    6. To secure your package booking, an initial payment of 50% is required at the time of reservation.
    7. The remaining 50% of the package cost will be collected either upon arrival on the first day of the tour or 1-7 days prior to the trip.

By Road:

  1. Shimla is well connected by road from Delhi, Chandigarh, and other cities in Himachal Pradesh.
  2. You can take an overnight Volvo or HRTC bus from ISBT Kashmere Gate, Delhi to Shimla (approx. 8–10 hours).
  3. Direct buses also operate from Chandigarh to Shimla (approx. 4 hours).
